We’re stuck under a low cloud deck…but I still think we clear out! Welcome to your Wednesday evening forecast for October 3, 2012!
TONIGHT-THURSDAY: Low clouds are STILL hanging on rather stubbornly. That said, I think the promised clearing should happen tonight, but I’m not so confident in that. I’ll go with a low around 58. Highs will be around 78 tomorrow ahead of the next storm. Tomorrow night look for clouds to increase again, and a low around 55.
FRIDAY-SATURDAY NIGHT: Rain chances are increased for Friday through Saturday night, because it looks like the cold front pushes through on Friday, then gets hung up near here Friday night as several pulses of energy ride along it. Friday night’s football games or doing anything outdoors on Saturday look like wet propositions, to say the very least. 😦 Temperatures will be on a general (and rapid) downhill trend, from 67 on Friday to 58 on Saturday, with lows in the upper 40’s Saturday morning.
SUNDAY-WEDNESDAY: I still think Sunday is dry, so we’ll salvage the latter half of the weekend in terms of not dealing with rain, and a decent Monday in terms of sunshine. The bad news? It won’t feel so nice. I’m going 55 on Sunday and 60 on Monday. Lows both mornings could fall as low as 36, and bring our next chance of frost. For folks north of I-70, I can’t rule out a freeze even! I hear farmers scrambling for their frost protection gear. Into Tuesday and Wednesday, we do start to warm things up with highs in the 60’s. Tuesday morning could be a frosty one again, but then Wednesday night the frost threat is much less with lows in the 40’s.
