Things are changing for sure, if briefly. Welcome to your Wednesday morning forecast for October 17, 2012.
TODAY AND TONIGHT: We’ll be partly cloudy for today, but tonight a complex, multi-part storm will move east towards our area. Highs will be in the low to middle 70’s. Showers and storms will develop after 9 PM. With the timing being so late, I do NOT expect severe weather with this. That being said, if that changes, I’ll be here to cover it.
THURSDAY-FRIDAY: That complex situation mentioned above continues through this period. Thursday, it appears we catch a brief break in the action. It’s beginning to look like the effect of the upper low will be limited to locations north of the Ohio River, but I’m not ready to totally rule out rain on Friday like I am Saturday (see below for that forecast). Highs will be around 55 on Thursday and 57 on Friday. Lows through this period will be in the 40-45 degree range.
SATURDAY: The low is out of here, and the models continue to depict a dry day…so I’ll roll with them and dry this forecast. We’ll be partly cloudy by afternoon for sure, and highs will only reach 60. Lows will be near 40 Saturday night. If you’re heading downtown for the Cincinnati Half-Marathon, the running forecast looks great in the morning. The start time is 8:06 AM, and right now it looks like we’ll be around 45 to start, and near 50 by the noon hour when the race wraps up.
SUNDAY-TUESDAY: We will stay partly cloudy in this time period. I only see 65 Sunday. I think other forecasts are a few degrees too high. Monday looks more likely to hit the 70 degree mark, and the same is true Tuesday. Lows will be around 47 Sunday night, and into the lower 50’s Monday night.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Follow along as I watch our skies and, as warranted, our streets:
NEXT UPDATE: The next update will be tonight after 6 (or sooner as warranted). Until then, take care!
