NOTE FROM JEREMY MOSES: I apologize that this evening’s discussion is as late as it is, as I was watching traffic situations around the area, especially as the new Aero Parkway opened during the PM rush hour.
It was, as expected, a damp and raw day across our area. What’s on tap? Welcome to your Friday evening forecast for October 19, 2012!
TONIGHT: Scattered rain showers should continue this evening before diminishing. As we head toward the morning, still some scattered showers around I believe, with lows in the lower 40’s now.
SATURDAY: Here’s the good news: For most of the Metro area and much of NKY, I am not too concerned about a rain chance for Saturday afternoon. Could your morning activities be a bit on the wet side? Yes…and that’s especially true northeast of town. For folks in the southwest, we’re talking Carrollton, Owenton, Sparta, Vevay, Madison, and maybe Corinth in Grant County, you may be dry by 7 AM Saturday. If you are in the US 52 corridor, along and 10 miles either side of a line from Batesville to Downtown Cincinnati to Maysville, it may take until 10:00 AM. For the far northeast parts of our area, it might be until noon. Highs tomorrow will still struggle to get above 55 as I suspect clouds will hang tough even after the rain exits.
SUNDAY-THURSDAY: At this point, it looks like a long dry stretch will commence until Thursday evening when our next storm will move in and so I am putting a rain chance in for Thursday night. Highs will warm from 65 on Sunday to the lower and mid 70’s Monday through Thursday with lows slowly climbing to the lower 50’s. So, a nice stretch of weather is on tap, we just need to get through today and tomorrow.
FRIDAY: This is up in the air, but it looks like our next front will be moving in late Thursday. Some questions remain on timing, so for now I’m going to put a chance of rain in on Friday. Highs on Friday will fall back to the low 60’s.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Follow along as I track the low, and occasionally provide traffic updates:
NEXT UPDATE: I am working the Cincinnati Half-Marathon tomorrow morning before sunrise. So, the next update will be tomorrow morning before 5:00. Until then, take care!
