FROST ADVISORY 2 AM tonight until 9 AM Saturday for everyone except for the counties of Adams, Clinton and Highland in Ohio; Lewis County in NKY; and the counties of Franklin, Fayette and Union in Indiana
It’s still very damp and raw out there…but this won’t last and a nice second half of the weekend is setting up! Welcome to your Saturday forecast for October 20, 2012!
TODAY: Here’s the good news: I am not too concerned about a rain chance for this afternoon. The bad news is, I’m anticipating rain off and on, especially north of the river, for a good part of the morning. As of the time I’m writing this (3:18 AM) radar shows more rain pivoting into our Indiana counties…that should continue through about 10 AM. Highs today will still struggle to get above 55 as I suspect clouds will hang tough even after the rain exits. If you’re heading downtown for the Cincinnati Half-Marathon and Beat the Pumpkin 5K, I suspect you’ll be fine, but take along the light waterproof jacket. Temperatures this morning will be starting around 42.
SUNDAY-THURSDAY: At this point, it looks like a long dry stretch will commence until Thursday evening when our next storm will move in and so I am putting a rain chance in for Thursday night. Highs will warm from 65 on Sunday to the lower and mid 70’s Monday through Thursday with lows slowly climbing from the upper 30’s tonight to the lower 50’s by the time we hit midweek. A FROST ADVISORY was issued by the Wilmington, OH NWS office, and looking at things now, I can agree with their frost call tonight. So, a nice stretch of weather is on tap, we just need to get through today and tomorrow.
FRIDAY: This is up in the air, but it looks like our next front will be moving in late Thursday. Some questions remain on timing, so for now I’m going to put a chance of rain in on Friday. Highs on Friday will fall back to the low 60’s.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Follow along as I track the low, and occasionally provide traffic updates:
NEXT UPDATE: My next update on the blog will be tomorrow morning. I’m working that Half-Marathon downtown this morning, and then taking a well deserved day of total R&R. Until tomorrow, take care!
