Friday 11/30 Forecast: End of November Brings Still Warmer Air

TODAY: Today looks warmer, with a high in the upper 50’s. I can’t rule out a spot or two hitting 60. We will remain sunny to partly cloudy.

TONIGHT: With partly cloudy skies and a south wind we should be in the upper 30’s.

SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies will be the rule. Highs will be in the low 60’s with lows probably in the lower 40’s Saturday night.

SUNDAY: Rain has consistently shown up so I will continue to mention that with this update, but I still think most of us remain dry. Highs will be in the low 60’s with lows in the lower 50’s.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies should be the rule as we catch a break in the weather. Highs will be back into the 60’s.

TUESDAY: Looking at Tuesday, our next storm drops down and brings another shot of rain, but highs should still be in the 60’s.

WEDNESDAY: The bottom truly falls out. We’ll start in the upper 30’s but likely fall through the day so that by the evening we’re in the 20’s. We also might have some flurries around leftover from the Tuesday system. Back to the icebox.

TONIGHT: Continuing the trend of being a little warmer than the previous night, we should be in the upper 20’s to near 30.

FRIDAY-SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate the majority of the forecast in this time period. Highs will be in the 50’s both days with lows probably in the 30’s or lower 40’s on Friday and Saturday nights.

SUNDAY: There are indications of a quick shot of rain Sunday, and it’s consistently shown up so I will continue to mention that with this update, but I think most of us remain dry. Highs will be in the low 60’s with lows in the lower 50’s.

MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies should be the rule as we catch a break in the weather. Highs will be back into the 60’s.

Wednesday Night 11/28 Forecast: Another Cold One Tonight

Another cold night is on the way but the warmup continues! Welcome to your Wednesday night forecast for November 28, 2012!

TONIGHT: I expect partly cloudy skies with lows tonight in the middle 20’s.

TOMORROW: Tomorrow looks warmer, with a high in the lower 50’s. We will remain sunny to partly cloudy.

FRIDAY-MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate the majority of the forecast in this time period. There are indications of a quick shot of rain Sunday, and it’s consistently shown up so I will continue to mention that with this update, but I think most of us remain dry so I’m not breaking that out into its own paragraph. Otherwise, the slow warmup continues through the weekend, from low or middle 50’s Friday to the lower 60’s by Monday.

TUESDAY: Looking at Tuesday, our next storm drops down and brings another shot of rain, but highs should still be in the 60’s.

Wednesday 11/28 Forecast: The Slow Warmup Continues

TODAY-TONIGHT: I expect partly cloudy skies today with highs around 44 degrees. Look for lows tonight in the middle 20’s.

TOMORROW: Tomorrow looks warmer, with a high in the lower 50’s.

FRIDAY-MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate the majority of the forecast in this time period. The guidance has us in the 60’s by the time we reach Sunday and Monday. At this time, that’s not a horrible call. There are indications of a quick shot of rain Sunday, and it’s consistently shown up so I will introduce that with this update, but I think most of us remain dry so I’m not breaking that out into its own paragraph. Otherwise, the slow warmup continues through the weekend, from low or middle 50’s Friday to the aforementioned 60’s by Monday.

TUESDAY: Looking at Tuesday, our next storm drops down and brings another shot of rain, but highs should still be in the 60’s.

Tuesday 11/27 Update: Clearing, But Still Cold

TODAY: Precipitation has ended for our area, and we will clear out. I have highs at best around 40 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: I will keep us in the upper 40’s tomorrow under partly cloudy skies.

THURSDAY-MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate much of the rest of the forecast. The guidance has us in the 60’s by the time we reach Sunday and Monday. At this time, that’s not a horrible call. There are indications of a quick shot of rain Saturday night into Sunday, but I don’t think it bothers us. So, a slow warmup through the weekend, from low 50’s Thursday to the aforementioned 60’s by Monday.

Monday Evening Update 11/26: Light Wintry Precipitation Tonight, Watch for Slick Spots!

We’re watching a quick, nuisance winter event…and then temperatures warm right up! Welcome to your evening update for Monday, November 26, 2012!

TONIGHT: Rain will move in this evening, changing to snow before 2 AM. There is not nearly enough moisture with this, so accumulations were never forecast by us to be above an inch. I maintain that the highest accumulations, if there are any, will be south of the metro, from Owenton over toward Vanceburg. For the metro and most folks north of the river a dusting may be the best we do. That’s how sharp the cut off is. That being said…no matter what, while for most the surface temperatures should be enough to keep us from having major issues on area roads, the bridges and overpasses may be a problem, so use caution. Lows tonight should fall off to the low 30’s.

TUESDAY: Precipitation should end by midday but slick bridges and overpasses will remain a concern for tomorrow’s morning commute. I have highs at best around 40 degrees.

WEDNESDAY-MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate this portion of the forecast. The guidance has us in the 60’s by the time we reach Sunday and Monday. At this time, that’s not a horrible call. So, a slow warmup through the weekend.

Monday 11/26 Morning Update: Light Rain and Snow Tonight

We’ll get a brief taste of winter, before a warmup starts around the area! Welcome to your Monday morning update for November 26, 2012!

TODAY-TUESDAY: As we get back to work, another storm will move in. Currently, it appears to be a rain event to start. As we go through tonight, this rain will change over to snow before ending by midday tomorrow. A half inch to an inch of snow accumulation will be possible on grassy surfaces south of the river. It should not be a problem for roads. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40’s today. Tonight as precipitation begins we’ll fall off to the lower 30’s, and Tuesday I think we stay around 40 at best.

WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate this portion of the forecast. The guidance has us in the upper 50’s to near 60 by the end of the week. I don’t agree with that just yet — I am willing to go lower 50’s by Saturday and will adjust upward if need be.
