We’re going to start off freezing. Unfortunately, there’s not much of a warmup for the next two days. Welcome to your morning update for Tuesday, November 13, 2012…
TODAY/WEDNESDAY: It’s definitely going to be a chilly period around here. Highs AT BEST will be in the upper 40’s under sunny skies after starting out this morning in the upper 20’s in most spots. Lows tonight will be in the middle 20’s — with good radiational cooling I think we’ll drop quickly. Tomorrow will not be much warmer than today, with highs back into the middle or upper 40’s.
THURSDAY-MONDAY: Looking dry still, and we’ll get on the backside of high pressure. There are two systems that will pass south of us, one Thursday and the other on Sunday. I don’t think those do anything except send a few high clouds our way. Temperatures should be back into the 50-55 range for highs through the period. Unfortunately, lows won’t be much warmer. Thursday night I would not be surprised to find lows around 26 again, and then only warming to the middle 30’s as we head through the weekend.

A REQUEST TO OUR READERS: The Red Cross still needs a lot of help. They deal with a lot of disasters, but Sandy was a once in a lifetime event for the northeast…and the damage is extensive (and last week’s nor’easter probably hasn’t helped). They still need help to get the residents of NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, and CT back on their feet. I encourage you, please go to redcross.org and make a donation, or text “SANDY” to 90999 and a $10 donation will be added to your phone bill. Also, a post I wrote last Sunday has information about donating to Matthew 25 Ministries if you want to send actual supplies to the coast, or to volunteer to organize supplies. Let’s get the northeast back on their feet.
NEXT UPDATE: Our next update will be either tonight or tomorrow. If I opt not to update the blog, I’ll do a quick social media post to indicate my thoughts on the night’s forecast. Until then, take care!
