TODAY AND SUNDAY: We will have a few flurries flying around as the wind blows off Lake Michigan. Yesterday’s front brought with it a very big temperature drop. Say goodbye to the 60’s, and even the 50’s! Highs will be around 36 today and maybe 43 on Sunday with lows in the lower and middle 20’s Sunday morning. Guidance suggests 48 tomorrow but I think it is a bit too high.
NATIONALLY: The front that brought our cold weather will be moving off the coast later today, except in Florida. South Texas will see rain and storms, and the northwest stays wet or snowy, depending on elevation. The upper Midwest and Great Lakes will see snow flying today.
MONDAY-TUESDAY: As we get back to work this week, another storm will move in. Currently, it appears to be a rain event with a change to snow on Tuesday. Amounts and precipitation types are still up in the air as the models still have not converged on the storm’s strength. Stay tuned. Highs will be in the 40’s on Monday with lows in the middle 30’s on Monday night. Tuesday we struggle to reach 40.
WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY: Partly cloudy skies should dominate this portion of the forecast. Highs will be in the low to middle 40’s.
