We caught a break yesterday, but the rain is back today! Welcome to your Sunday forecast for December 9, 2012!
TODAY-MONDAY: Today will be quite soggy. Take the raingear to the stadium, if you’re going to see Bengals/Cowboys. Highs should be around 60. We will see rain and thunderstorms tonight. Monday, we will go BACKWARDS in temperatures…starting out in the 50’s but falling all the way through the daytime hours so that by Monday evening we should be in the low 30’s. With that kind of temperature drop through the day, we may see the rain end as a few flakes of snow Monday.
LOW FLOOD RISK: It’s important to point out that yes, we will see a copious amount of rain over the next 36 hours. However, we were in a bit of a dry spell…so flood guidance is high enough that I wouldn’t anticipate flash flooding issues, much less river flooding. So, no need to worry about that — this is not like last year, when we had WAY too much rain and shattered all kinds of precipitation records.
TUESDAY-NEXT FRIDAY: The majority of next week looks chilly but dry, with highs in the 40’s and 50’s. Lows will be in the middle 20’s Tuesday morning rising to middle 30’s by Friday night. And the roller coaster, at least for now, continues.
SATURDAY: The next front moves in in this time frame. We’ll bring a chance of rain into this forecast with highs in the mid 50’s.

PERSONAL NOTE: Thanks to everyone for the congratulatory notes on Facebook and Twitter yesterday regarding my engagement to my lovely girlfriend of 9 months, Kayla. For those asking about a date, we haven’t set one…it likely won’t be for a couple years because we want a long engagement. 🙂
NEXT UPDATE: The next update will be tomorrow morning. Until then, take care and stay dry!
