TODAY-WEDNESDAY: It looks like we’ll be dry in this period. Highs will be in the upper 40’s and maybe low 50’s with lows in the middle 30’s tonight.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT-FRIDAY: As we go into the end of the week, we watch the next storm system…and oh boy, talk about a change. We will have highs in the lower 50’s once again on Thursday, but that high is likely to be early. This is ahead of a cold front which pushes through with a good bit of rainfall…and then the bottom falls out. Temperatures will start tumbling on Thursday afternoon, and then Thursday night we bottom out in the middle 20’s with some snow showers around especially north and west. I should also note that the models continue to indicate that this front will bring strong wind to the area as well, with gusts up to 50 mph possible! Friday’s highs AT BEST look to end up in the LOWER 30’s, and we may have some snow showers around, especially the first half of the day, and again particularly north and west of the city. Stay tuned on that…what a way to kick off astronomical winter! (I might explain the difference between meteorological and astronomical seasons in a future post.) By Friday night, I wouldn’t be surprised to have lows all the way into the upper TEENS into the Cincinnati metro. A lot of that will be pending what happens with the snows to our north. Again, stay tuned.
NEXT WEEKEND INTO CHRISTMAS EVE: It does look as if conditions dry out again, and it’ll be cold with highs in the middle to upper 30’s. Yikes. Lows will be in the lower to middle 20’s (again, maybe teens in some spots).

NEXT UPDATE: The next update will be tonight or tomorrow morning. I plan to put up a schedule for the holiday weekend sometime before the end of the week — as I need to finalize the plans with my fiancée and our families. Until then, take care!
