After a wintry mess of a Wednesday, we’re drying out on this Thursday! It won’t last…here’s your morning update for December 27, 2012!
TODAY: We will be dry and clearing, but cold. Numerical guidance, when averaged out, suggests 32 for a high. I think that would be about right for the metro. North and west of downtown Cincinnati, where you had more snow, I can’t rule out that you don’t get out of the upper 20’s, or for that matter that you drop into the teens tonight. Most should be between 22-25 tonight.
FRIDAY: I expect dry weather on Friday, with cold temperatures once more. I think we’ll still be in the lower 30’s…to me 37 still seems a bit warm with the snowpack to the northwest.
FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY: Another storm moves in, and this one should be a snowy one especially if we stay cold (and I think parts of Eastern Indiana and Western Ohio definitely do). I believe precipitation holds off until sometime Friday evening. Some snowfall accumulation is possible, but I cannot yet say how much. I am going with lows around 26 Friday night and a high recovering on Saturday to at best 33.
SUNDAY: As we close in on the final days of 2012, I expect dry weather again. If we get some additional snow cover on Saturday, we may keep highs in the upper 20’s for the Bengals regular season finale! Brrrrr!
MONDAY INTO NEW YEAR’S DAY: A dry day for Monday, but indications are that another quick shot of some kind of wintry precipitation will be around as we ring in 2013 Monday night and Tuesday. Although guidance suggests that this too will be in the form of snow, it’s way too early to grasp at specifics. Highs will be around 32, with lows in the upper teens.
