Friday 1/4 Morning Forecast: Warming Some More, Slight Chances of Precipitation

As the snow melts, we ascend from the deep freeze! Will it last? Welcome to your Friday morning forecast for January 4, 2013!

TODAY: Highs will be back to the middle 30’s as skies will be partly cloudy. Tonight I still look for a low around 15.

THE WEEKEND: Cold continues to be the word that describes this period. Lows will be around 20 on Sunday. Highs will be in the lower to middle 30’s both days. It looks as though any chances of rain or snow will be very slight as the next system misses to the south, and we’ll otherwise be partly to mostly cloudy. I just don’t think any precipitation is a big deal. If you’re heading down along the I-64 corridor this weekend, you might want to prepare for a little bit of rain or snow.

MONDAY: Skies will clear out for Monday and I expect highs around 40.

TUESDAY-THURSDAY: Things continue to warm up with highs in the 40’s and lows in the 20’s. Another chance of rain looks to occur, too. Looks pretty much like a January Thaw to me!
