TODAY: We will stay cold today. I am not sure we will clear the clouds fully out of here — I’m going to roll with a high of 36, but I’m not hugely confident in that number, and may adjust midday. Another problem is, the roads are still icy in spots especially south of Cincinnati and this has caused school delays and even a few closings (which I’ve been updating on social media all morning). Please be cautious out there this morning!
THURSDAY TO NEXT SATURDAY: At this point, we look dry and still kinda chilly with highs between 40-45 and lows in the upper 20’s. NWS Wilmington has us in the upper 40’s Saturday — but I am still going to play conservatively for now, and adjust if need be. The low sun angle may not allow us to get that warm — but if we stay sunny or partly cloudy, we might just reach those numbers. For now, I still hesitate to put anything higher than around 45 into the forecast.
SUNDAY: Models do show a sharp cooldown on Sunday, but the front bringing it stays largely dry. I will roll with a high of 33 and a low Sunday night close to 20.
MONDAY: For your Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, expect a few snow showers to be around. Highs will struggle to hit the middle 20’s with lows in the teens! Ouch!
