TODAY: I am forecasting partly cloudy skies today, with highs around 50, and then partly cloudy skies tonight as well with lows around 27.
SUNDAY: Models do show a sharp cooldown on Sunday, but nothing significant precipitation-wise. Guidance gives me a high around 35 and a low Sunday night around 18, which I am rolling with now. Remember the latter number as we hit Tuesday.
MONDAY: I’m still thinking we may have a few snow showers around Monday. Highs will barely make 25. Lows on Monday night, I believe, fall into the SINGLE DIGITS. Ouch!!!
TUESDAY: If Monday was an “ouch”, Tuesday is even more so. How about a high of just 18 under sunny skies? That’s right…the low on Sunday night will be the HIGH on Tuesday. Any kind of significant wind would send wind chills into the single digits, maybe even below zero, especially in the morning. Ouch again!
WEDNESDAY: Not a lot better. Look for highs in the middle 20’s after beginning around 10 again. Once more, wind chills in the morning could be below zero pending the wind.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY: A nice recovery, although I’m not buying a full fledged return to the 40’s that the guidance suggests just yet. I will go with 37, as what looks like an upper wave should cross the area, bringing warmer air and a chance of rain. That mixes with snow on Thursday night and Friday, with a low back around 30 and a high on Friday around 35.
